You may have heard about STMicroelectronics’ new Teseo VI GNSS chipset. With Teseo VI, STMicroelectronics has created the first single-die, quad-band, multi-constellation GNSS receiver that achieves centimeter-level accuracy, dramatically reducing cost and complexity for precise positioning applications. This innovation makes high-accuracy positioning more accessible for everyone. It’s a powerhouse, no doubt. But what customers might not know is how Point One’s solutions, built for a diverse range of industries, are helping to unlock its full potential, and not just in the automotive sandbox. But how are we leveraging the Teseo VI GNSS chipset to get customers centimeter-level location accuracy wherever they are?

Teseo VI chip and precision location to help customers stay found

The Teseo VI GNSS chipset offers some pretty compelling features like reduced cost via its single die, quad-band design, integrated anti-jamming & anti-spoofing, and design flexibility through its ASIL-B certified pin-to-pin compatibility (allowing for customization of integrated inertial sensors). And, what we’re most excited about is our ability to make the Teseo VI one hundred times more accurate with our Polaris RTK correction network. Not only does Polaris enable the Teseo VI to achieve centimeter-level accuracy but it boasts 99.9% uptime reliability, global coverage, and a simple integration process – enabling centimeter corrections in minutes.

But Point One Navigation is not just an RTK provider; we’ve also purpose-built a Positioning Engine called Fusion Engine that is tailor made for our customers’ industrial applications, whether they’re using a drone, scooter, motorcycle, car, mower, or any kind of autonomous vehicle, we’ve developed Fusion Engine to help devices stay located. What makes us especially proud is that Fusion Engine is already compatible with the entire Teseo VI family and available in both single and dual antenna configurations with our Polaris RTK corrections service. And, best of all, our Fusion Engine software can run with a swath of different inertial sensors, fusing sensor data with GNSS corrections to give precise location data regardless of where a device is or where it’s going.
